Terms of service
What Uberdata will and will not be responsible for. Until this is finalised, the practical summary is: it is a file editor, you own your files, and what you flash is your call.
Who we are
The entity providing Uberdata, and how to reach it.
Your account
You are responsible for your credentials and for what is done under your account.
What the service does
Uberdata edits calibration files. It does not write to your vehicle and does not supply flashing hardware.
Your files
You keep ownership of everything you upload. We store it to provide the service and do not sell it or publish it.
Acceptable use
No uploading files you have no right to, no attacking the service, no reselling access.
Vehicle safety and legal compliance
A modified calibration can damage an engine, void a warranty, and make a vehicle illegal to operate on public roads. Altering or disabling emissions equipment, or the diagnostics that monitor it, is illegal for road use in most jurisdictions. You are responsible for what you write to a vehicle and for complying with the law where you ride or drive it.
Availability
Early access: features can change and the service can be unavailable.
Termination
How either side ends the arrangement, and what happens to your data.
Limitation of liability
NEEDS COUNSEL — intentionally not drafted here.
Governing law
NEEDS COUNSEL — jurisdiction not yet settled.
