What Uberdata stores, where it goes, and who else can see it. Short version: your files are yours, they are visible only to your account, and the one place data leaves our servers is the AI assistant.

What we store

Your email address and display name

To identify your account and sign you in. Passwords are never stored — only a bcrypt hash. Sign in with Google and we store no password at all.

The tune files you upload

They are the thing being edited. Stored in our database exactly as you sent them, and never modified. Every edit is applied to a copy.

Every revision you save

So you can compare, roll back, and download earlier versions. Revisions are immutable by design, which also means an edit cannot be un-recorded.

Your conversations with the AI assistant

To keep the thread of a conversation and show its history. Stored in a separate database from your tunes.

Where data goes outside our servers

The AI assistant. When you use it, your messages and the parts of the tune needed to answer them are sent to the third-party provider of the underlying model. That is a genuine third-party disclosure and it is why it is stated plainly here rather than buried. If you never open the assistant, your tune data is not sent to any third party.

We do not sell data, we do not run advertising, and there is no analytics or tracking product embedded in this site.

Who can see your tunes

Only you. Uploads and revisions are scoped to your account; there is no sharing feature and nothing is public. Staff can technically reach the database — as with any hosted service — and do so only to fix a fault.

Deleting your data

There is no self-serve delete button yet. That is a real gap, not an oversight we are hiding: email us from the address on your account and we will delete your uploads, revisions and conversations by hand. We would rather admit that than imply a control that does not exist.
